Founded in 2019, Great Eastern Gold is an unlisted Australian public company building a multi-mine gold and antimony platform in Australia.

Multiple gold & antimony assets feed a centralised processing hub at Camel Creek, Great Eastern Gold’s biggest resource, each through the route that suits its ore. The flagship is Camel Creek, an existing mine site where production is targeted for early 2027.

Four processing routes

  • Heap leach: higher grade. The unleached coarse fraction of the Camel Creek Heaps, crushed and leached again, followed by ore from shallow open cuts. Product: doré gold.
  • Heap leach: lower grade. The finer material of the Camel Creek Heaps, leached where it lies. This is an option under evaluation, not yet in the plan. Product: doré gold.
  • Flotation circuit. Camel Creek and Golden Cup, whose refractory ore carries gold, antimony and arsenic. Products: antimony-gold and gold-arsenic concentrates.
  • CIL circuit. Big Rush, Welcome Again and Amanda Bel Oxide, whose ore is free-milling. Product: doré gold bars.

Two fully permitted mines, Camel Creek and Golden Cup, sit within 100,000 ha of exploration tenure about 70km west of Ingham, with more than 100 gold prospects and 50 antimony prospects. The package also includes the rapid-restart Camel Creek Heaps and abundant oxide mineralisation, ready for conventional heap leach and CIL processing.

Mining leases at Camel Creek have been held continuously since the late 1980s. Camel Creek and its satellites recovered an estimated 71,000 oz of gold historically by heap leach.

Two satellite mines

Welcome Again, in the Charters Towers district, and Big Rush, in the Greenvale district, are each about 200km by road from the hub. Their ore is trucked to the CIL circuit.

Anchored to tested data

Every metallurgical assumption is anchored to historical or tested data: plant-scale production, bench testwork, or both.

Our markets

Gold and Critical Minerals

Gold

  • Gold is the company’s main product: 487,000 oz of gold is in JORC resources across four of its assets.
  • All of its assets feed the processing hub at Camel Creek, which is planned to recover gold through four routes: in flotation concentrates, and as doré from the two heap leach routes (higher and lower grade) and from the CIL circuit.
  • The Camel Creek development plan alone contains about 1.18 Moz of gold, most of it not yet a JORC resource.

Antimony

  • Antimony is on the critical minerals lists of Australia and the United States, and is a named priority of Australia’s Critical Minerals Strategic Reserve.
  • China dominates antimony refining, and Western buyers are seeking secure supply.
  • At Camel Creek, drilling has intersected high-grade antimony alongside the gold, and test work produced a clean, high-grade concentrate: 62.1% antimony at 1.0% arsenic. Its first gold & antimony JORC resource is in preparation.
  • Camel Creek is planned as a source of Australian antimony.

Australia

  • The world’s second largest producer of gold after China, with 320 metric tonnes produced in 2020.
  • Mining in general accounts for 35% of Australia’s exports.
  • Well regulated, Australia is regarded as one of the safest countries for both mining and financial services in general.
  • Opportunities for exploration and development of small, but high-grade gold resources.
  • Home to all of Great Eastern Gold’s assets, in Australia.

Canada

  • The world’s fifth largest producer of gold, with 170 metric tonnes produced in 2020.
  • Mining makes up 5% of Canada’s GDP, with gold the largest mineral contributor.
  • Like Australia, Canada has a strong banking system and well-regulated finance and mining industries.
  • An abundance of gold resources suited to narrow-vein mining, with further opportunities opening up.
  • Great Eastern Gold is considering resource acquisitions in Canada.

The US, Central and South America

  • Peru is the largest gold producer in Latin America, followed by Mexico.
  • Blue-sky opportunities for exploration and development.

Vision statement

Great Eastern Gold combines quality innovation and efficiency to operate ethically, safely, respectfully and responsibly while protecting people and the environment.
